Arts Night

Hello Parents,

We are excited to let you know that our Arts' Night performances this year is on Thursday, May 17th and will be held at The City Church auditorium located on Argentina road, just a 3 minute drive from the school.

With this new venue, we have extra lighting, surround sound, a larger and higher stage, more seating, and much more! This will give you and your family the opportunity to enjoy the Arts' Night performance even more in a theatre environment.

More details to follow!

Thank you.

WELCOME BACK!

Morning routine
Victoria is our calendar helper this week.
Gavin is our weather reporter.
Farah is our planet feeder this week.

We started the day by talking about what we did during the March break. After, students wrote about their march break in their journal.

Phonics: Ch sound
Today we explored the "ch" sound. We brainstormed words together.

Math: Nickel and Penny review
We reviewed how to count by 5's. Students watched Jack Hartman Count by 5's song. Students also used nickels to purchase toys in the classroom. After, students worked on a nickel and penny worksheet.

Unit of Inquiry: Space
Today students were introduced to their summative projects. Students chose a planet and looked through the books and learned more about their chosen planet. Tomorrow, students will begin the written portion of their summatives where they will write their planet name, what it is made out of, how big/small it is and why it is special.

IB Learner Profile: Caring

This month, we are focusing on the caring learner profile. We watched a story online called Oma's quilt. After, students discussed what it means to be caring and how Emily was caring in the story.
