The students were very excited this morning. We practiced for the Christmas concert in the morning. 

After, we decorated the banner for the Christmas Concert.

students continued exploring addition. Students worked in their math workbook and added numbers on a dice

Unit of Inquiry: Seasons

Students continued to explore the winter season. We discussed all the types of activities people do during winter. Students talked about their favourite winter activity and wrote a sentence on a mitten.

Christmas Concert

The Christmas concert is tomorrow! We are all very excited and can't wait to finally perform our song & dance!

Please have students come dressed in their Christmas concert clothing for tomorrow as we will be having a dress rehearsal during the day (2 - 3pm) you are welcome to attend. (santa hat, red shirt/black pants or red dress)

Please arrive at 6:30pm and drop off your child to the classroom.

Christmas Concert Rehearsals

We started off the day practicing for the Christmas concert. We spent all morning in the auditorium practicing our song and dance, watched other classes perform and practiced the song for the finale.

Students are very excited and have been working really hard!

Students reviewed the long/short sound Oo.

We watched Jack hartman and listened to words that have the O sound. 

After, students came up with words that have the O sound and had to place the word in the correct group

Math: Addition

Students continued to explore addition. Students counted numbers on a dice and added them up.

Math: Addition

Students continued exploring addition. Students created an addition story in their workbook.

"There are 10 marbles in a bag. Some are green and some are yellow. There are more yellow marbles than green. How many yellow marbles are there?" 

Students worked independently. After, we took up their work together on the carpet.

After, we spent the rest of the afternoon rehearsing for the Christmas concert on stage with music. Students also practiced for the grand finale with all PYP students.
