Journal
Today, we continued practicing how to write a list. Students drew their favourite foods, labeled them and explained why they like it.


Math: Measuring Weight

Students continued exploring weight. 
Students used their workbook and compared its weight with other objects from the classroom.

Phonics
Students continued exploring the oi sound. Students completed a worksheet to show their understanding.
After, we played word bingo!





Math: Measurement

We continued exploring weight. Students used different objects and estimated if their object was heavier or lighter than 5 snap cubes. After, students used the scale to measure. 
Students recorded their answers in their workbook.

Today we explored what it means to be angry. We read a story about how to deal with anger and discussed the different ways we can handle our anger the right way.





After, we practiced our Arts night song and dance

Tuesday, May 1st

Phonics

Today we explored the "oi" sound
As a class, we brainstormed words containing the "oi" sound.


Journal
Students wrote a list of their favourite foods


Math: Measurement

We continued exploring weight. Students had to estimate what objects are heavier than the stapler. Students went around the room and chose an object. After, we tested them out by placing them on a scale.
Kai and Kaysha guessed right!

Today we talked about feeling sad. We read a story and talked about what makes us sad. After, students created a happy and sad craft using paper plates. We played a guessing game where students had to guess which emotion to display according to the scenario. 




After, we went to the auditorium to practice our song and dance
