Phonics

We started the day reviewing the "qu" sound.

Students discovered more words containing the "qu" sound. After, students worked on a worksheet to show their understanding

Math: Measurement

As a class, we sorted pipe cleaners from longest to shortest. After, students worked in different stations and sorted objects from short/long or long/short. 

Students worked individually in their math workbook and sorted pipe cleaners on their own.

Pancake Breakfast!!!

Students ate pancakes in the cafeteria this morning.

Students continued to explore measurement. Students worked in pairs and measured their height. First, students estimated how tall their friend is. After, they used objects from the classroom to measure their height.

SJA students gathered in the auditorium for a very special assembly.
