Morning Routine
Farah is our weather reporter this week.

Aarna is our weather helper this week.



Journal
Students wrote 2 sentences about what they did on the weekend


Phonics: "ng" ending sound.

Students explored the sound and words ending in "ng"




Jump Rope for Heart Event





Math: Time Review
Students continued to explore time to the hour and time to the half hour. We played a time  game on the carpet. After, students worked on a worksheet.




Unit of Inquiry: Space
Today we learned about the 4 phases of the moon! (new moon, first quarter, full moon and third quarter)
We watched a video about the moon and after we used an oreo cookie to show the different phases of the moon!

Wednesday March 7th – Wacky Wednesday (hair, clothes, shoes etc.)
Thursday March 8th – Sports Day (wear sports gear/jerseys)

Friday March 9th – St. Patrick’s Day (wear green)

We read "Green Eggs and Ham" and talked about what it means to be open minded. 


Math: Time to the Hour/Half Hour

Students are exploring time to the hour & half hour. Students worked on a worksheet and drew the hands on the clock to indicate different times!






Unit of Inquiry: Space

Today we read "papa can you give me the moon." It was about a little girl named Monica who asks her father to give her the moon.

After, students wrote a sentence about who they would give the moon to and why and then we did a craft!
