Journal

This morning, students wrote in their journals about what they did on the weekend.

Math: Addition

Students continued exploring addition and are learning how to add numbers together without using pictures.

Students worked on a Christmas/winter craft

Phonics: Long U sound

Students worked on a worksheet and wrote words that have the long u sound (i.e glue, blue, tube, flute)

Morning Routine

This morning, Kai helped with the Calendar and we counted how many days until Christmas

Phonics

Today, students reviewed the long/short Uu sound. Students brainstormed words that have both sounds. We watched Jack hartmann. After, students created the letter u using playdough.

Math: Addition

Students continued with addition. Students are learning to add numbers together without pictures. 

Gym with Mrs. Jans

Spelling Pre-test: Students completed their spelling pre-test and then we took up the answers together on the board. Students practiced reading and writing the spelling test words.

Math: Students continued working on their math worksheet. After, students completed a Christmas colouring page
